Colossal amounts of food is wasted and thrown away in UK every day. Seven million slices of bread are discarded every day in the UK and a whopping two out of three households claim to throw away a loaf of bread in an average week. For years families have been choosing between a large loaf of bread (800g) and a smaller loaf (400g) during their weekly grocery shop. But have found themselves throwing away the last few slices of a large loaf, or craving a normal sized slice in a smaller bag. Now, there’s a perfect solution. The humble loaf of bread has been given a makeover with the launch of a new 600g range of loaves from Britain’s favourite family baker, Warburtons.
